Roncadin
Roncadin has developed a kids’ pizza together with Disney and their new film Toy Story 3, which will be released in summer 2010.
The pizza comes in a “Toy Story”-branded frisbee. This product will be initially launched in Italy and Denmark.
It is the first time that a pizza comes with a toy, which can also be used as a plate. Furthermore there will be 4 different frisbees (with different characters), which makes it interesting to collect all of them.
Usually kids love to eat pizza, but parents are sometimes a bit concerned if this is the best nutrition. Therefore the pizza respects the strict nutritional guidelines of Disney that it is an appropriate product for a child:
- Small portion
- Low in calories
- Low in salt (sodium)
- High quality product (with selected ingredients)

Another new product is “I Corti di Pane” – the first apéro artisan breadstick with two flavors and two colors in one stick, made with 10% extra virgin olive oil, in the variations “Tomato & Cheese” and “Curry & Onion”.
Also new is “Artisan Breadsticks without Yeast” – the only rubatà style breadstick with no yeast.
All the new product developments created focus on high service contents in terms of packaging, such as single portion pouches for: out-of-home eating occasions, snack on the go and snacks for kids. They also focus on trends with regard to food intolerances and for special dietetic exigencies.
Breadsticks offer a whole world of baked not fried and not extruded, clean and simple bread substitutes for snacking, dipping and out-of-home eating.

Sirc came to life from the passion of the Fabbri family for the baking art. Initially a small family-managed artisan company, today, Sirc is managed by Tommaso Fabbri in the third generation.
Now as then, the company is inspired by tradition and handicrafts of the Florentia bakery art, producing in a modern state-of-the art plant located near Florence with strongly customized (and therefore unique) production features.
It is a precise choice to produce “all natural” bakery snacks in a wide range of shapes and variations, with nothing artificial, such as Crostini, Ali di Farfalla, Gallettine, Grissini Toscani and Rosali.

New products include I Rosali–the first Tuscan snack with ingredients made in Tuscany. Rosali, which are Crostini made with extra virgin olive oil, Toscano IGP and topped with salt from Volterra were made focusing on the segment of “territorial/regional specialty snacks”. The Rosemary used in the rosemary variation is cultivated in the Chianti area. The product is ideal for apéritif, for dipping and topping, and as a simple and natural snack. Packaging is available in a bag of 35g (mini-size), as well as in bag of 200g. There is possibility of private label productions.

Det Norske Veritas
To assess the ecological impact of Skinny-Pack, Det Norske Veritas (DNV) measured the C02 from the processes of production and distribution of the new packaging, or the so-called “Carbon Footprint”, comparing it with that associated to the packaging used previously. The results have clearly highlighted the best environmental performance of the new pack that, thanks both to the changes introduced in its production process, as well as a substantial 40% weight reduction (from 39 to 24 Grams) allowed an overall cut of more than 3000 Tons of CO2 per year compare with the existing tray.
All the analyses and quantifications of the reduction in greenhouse gas emission have been conducted by DNV in accordance with International standard ISO 14064 while the full Life Cycle Analysis (LCA) of the product have been assessed according to the PAS 2050 directive.
