SIAL 2010

| More

SIAL Paris 2010, The Global Food Marketplace will take place 17-21 October at the Parc des Expositions de Paris Nord Villepinte and will continue to be at the forefront of innovation. Show organizers anticipate more than 101 exhibitor countries in attendance this year. SIAL attendance has been on the rise, with 147,860 visitors last year, including French visitors and visitors from 185 other countries.

Since 2006, the Best Buys is a selection, for the food profession, of wines sold by exhibitors that offer particularly good value for money. This year the five price categories include: wines priced under 2 Euros, 2-4 Euros, 4-6 Euros, 6-10 Euros and a “premium” category created for SIAL 2008.
The wines, selected by an independent jury comprising well-known personalities in the world of wine, are all available for tasting at the exhibition.

SIAL will again host the Trends & Innovation showcase, which provides an overview of those exhibitors’ products that offer the strongest benefits to the consumer or retailer. The Trends & Innovations Observatory provides a unique opportunity to discover, in a single arena, all the concepts and innovations launched worldwide and to decipher new consumer trends. This year the Trends & Innovation jury, comprising innovation and food industry specialists, has selected 350 innovations from 41 countries, including consumer products, brands and private labels, whether concerning grocery products, beverages, fresh or frozen foods. Exhibitors at Trends & Innovations will present approximately 800 products and three out of four visitors attended the Trends & Innovations Observatory.

The Private Label Forum presents innovations by major brands and their manufacturing partners by highlighting the selection of private labels on exhibitors’ stands: data base, catalogue, pictogram, etc.

A program of more than 150 talks, meetings and workshops will educate visitors. In the Wine Innovation Forum In-Food Center 32 talks by major wine producers will take place, while Innovation, Sourcing & Ideas offers more than 25 testimonials for semi-processed food products, ingredients and outsourcing solutions.

This year, In-Food 2010 and IPA 2010 will be held in conjunction with SIAL. In-Food 2010 is an exhibition for semi-processed food products, ingredients and outsourcing solutions. IPA 2010 is the International food-processing exhibition with 600 exhibitors from 28 countries and 44,045 visitors from 140 countries.

Whether you are from retail, trade, import-export, institutional or commercial catering, agribusiness, purchasing and procurement, marketing or research & development, SIAL, The Global Food Marketplace, offers unbeatable opportunities to develop your business, consult new products and suppliers, discover recent innovations, learn how global consumer trends and markets are evolving, prepare new recipes, keep up to date with the global food industry and create added value.
