Anuga 2009
The international food industry meets in Cologne for Anuga, 10-14 October 2009.
The international food industry comes together again for Anuga 2009, a distinguished global food and beverage show held every two years in Cologne, Germany. Around 6,000 suppliers from approximately 100 countries are expected to come to Anuga 2009, which runs 10 to 14 October in the prominent Koelnmesse Convention Center. About 160,000 trade visitors from all over the world are expected to attend.
Unlike any other trade fair, Anuga’s unique concept of featuring 10 specialized trade fair segments in one location has been highly successful in matching exhibitors with their target audience. The 10 segments are: Bread and Bakery, Hot Beverages, CateringTec, Chilled Food, Dairy, Drinks, Fine Food, Frozen Food, Meat, Organic, and RetailTec.
U.S Pavilion
The USDA-endorsed U.S. Pavilion at Anuga offers U.S. food and beverage marketers cost-effective visibility in the increasingly crowded global shopping basket. The U.S. Pavilion provides a forum for U.S. companies to exhibit with other U.S. companies, making it a destination for buyers from other countries seeking out high-quality safe and delicious American-made products.
Trend Forum Drinks
This year a new information platform will be presented–the “Trend Forum Drinks.” Within the specialized trade fair Anuga drinks and in the exhibition and congress program, the forum will address and illustrate the beverage industry’s most important trends. Trend researchers from the Future Institute in Kelkheim will identify the trends of the drink sector and will present forward-looking concepts for discussion. The “Trend Forum Drinks” will also offer exhibitors interesting models for participation and presentation. The “Anuga Wine Special” will return in 2009.

Anuga Organics
The organic sector is sharpening its profile with an extensive range of products and services. At Anuga Organic around 280 suppliers will provide a concentrated overview and the supporting program includes international participants. The suppliers are completely focused on organically produced and manufactured products. Among the suppliers are renowned organic players, such as the leading organic associations Bioland and Naturland, Alb-Gold Teigwaren, Bionade, Bio-Zentrale, Laurentana, Roggenkamp Organics and Voelkel. Joint participants from China, Denmark, Italy, the Netherlands, Morocco and the USA will also be exhibiting as part of Anuga Organic.
